Frost is out here in a lot of places. Watched a robin tugging on an earthworm north of the house earlier. A guy was putting on anhydrous yesterday & the seagulls were following him around the field. Few birds at the feeders yesterday but today loads of them. Saw a pair of song sparrows mixed in with the juncos feeding on the ground before lunch. Goldfinches are getting more yellow.

Hard to believe the difference all in the same state.  I had a flock of Canadas fly right over me as I was heading out the door earlier today.  Couple hundred of them.  I could have shot at them with a .22 they were so close.  Was fun to see.  Heard a seagull the other day but didn't see it.

The thing is I've had a pair of Doves all Winter. It sounds like I'm at lakeside,  must be a dozen Red Wing Blackbirds out front, the sounds of spring for sure..even tho it's snowing..

so yesterday I cleaned the birdbath out..  left it empty just to see how full it gets from the snow and rain over the next couple days..

Great reminder mike. Mine is in the garage somewhere. Should figure out just where I put it and get it set out again. There have been some puddles for the birds to drink & bathe in but they disappear pretty quickly.

My birdbath is frozen over. The feeders are quite busy this morning.  They must know something is up
