Out doing chores today I finally saw a bunch of robins. I heard a bunch of crows out in the grove. I thought I heard a killdeer, too, but I never did see it.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Was kinda scratching my head yesterday and wondering why the robins were so thick in the area near the garden. Looked like they were hunting for earthworms already. Checked the frost depth in the garden and sure enough, there wasn't much left. Get a warm rain and it might thaw the sod nearby as well.

That surprises me gunnar, they usually are way more west than that.  I've seen some smaller flocks here spring time but the mass is usually in Sodak.

There is a small flock of about 2 or 300 snows and blues that land in a field right on the edge of Baudette in a farmers field every year.  I worked for him in the fall doing field work and the geese kept getting up when I got too close but never left the field.  Cool as heck.

No big groups here either, Bobber. Probably just 6-8 a day.

They are neat and LOUD. Snuck up on lotsa of em, when they stop yapping there getting ready to jump. The rush of 15,000 getting up is fascinating.
