Four of us spent the weekend on the ice

The bite was on, on both Sat. and sun.....But sunday night it slowed down. I hope things don't stay that way.

This week will tell the tale

The Crappies are finally hitting minnow's but you can still pickup gills and Crappies on Wax Worms.

In total, we spent about 8 hours fishing between Sat. afternoon and Sun. night

The Crappies also seem to be suspended just above the gills. You still have to play around...moving your bait up and down each time...finding the bite..lots of jigging..keep it lively and they are biting light.

Had a big fish fry on Sat. night...along with a few ice cold Grain Belt Prem.  Great Time.

Now all the fish we have in the freezer is the ones caught on Sunday. Dang! that means I can still fish some this week...Life is good! LOL

 Here's a few pics

the last pic is Wades son "Drake" He caught that dandy Crappie and reeled it in by himself. Man, was he excitied

In case any of you are wondering who "Wade" is, that would be me.

We didn't fill the freezer, but we had a great time, ate some tasty fish and enjoyed some frosty beverages.
