Not impressed with the design of the fuel line design...this small white connection is cracked which is on the carburator to angle the fuel line to the tank.... Bad Design!

It was sucking air through the crack and making it run ruff. Went to Napa and bought some new fuel line..... I hope it will work....

Just replaced the same dang thing and new gas line a few weeks ago. Got everything I needed at D-Rock in New Brighton for may be $12 bucks.

Don't forget to warm that little white plastic piece up with a hair dryer before trying to pop it on and make sure you give yourself a little more gas line with the new one. Shrinking of the old tight gas line is what causes them to crack!   Good Luck.

When you go ask them what their trick is for installing the little white plastic elbow. I didn't and ended up heating it up a bit and slightly pushing down with a large channel locks to get even pressure. It was not fun, and it didn't just "Snap" on! It has to go all the way down to the little knurled area on the brass fitting. It would suck to get it all back together and find out you didn't get it on far enough.
May be if you bring in the carb and whine and snivel.  They will put it on for yea. Works for me!  :happy1:

I just ordered a new carb with hose for $11.85 with free shipping.
It has a steel fitting instead of the plastic, and it comes with new hose.

Not under warranty, just smart shopping.... it's supposed to be here Tuesday.

Figured, the gas to drive all the way down to New Brighton and buy the parts..... I'd spend $25 - $35

Where did you order this from? At that price I'll just put a new one on every other year instead of cleaning the old one!

Yup Glenn, the ribs still hurt. Still can't get used to sleeping in a sitting position.

I got the carb off of eBay. I had to use the butterfly and shaft out of the old carb because the governor wouldn't bolt on without modifications. Other than that, it bolted right on.

Yup, it idols and runs fine... I haven't been on the ice since I broke my ribs. But, soon I hope.

Not sure who made it, doesn't even have a date code on it. But the aluminum casting looks nicer than the original China carb I took off.

I figured it was worth a try.....

I pulled on the rip cord 2 times, and it purred like a kitten. Maybe tomorrow I'll hit the ice....man, getting old sucks! But, I should be able to hit the local hole....  :fish2:
