That's too bad. Shoulda never happened.  Something similar happened on the Lake while we were fishing but tgi s drunk slammed into the side of a pickup in front of a portable .The drunk wasn't breathing to much when the law came racing in on sleds..

What is it with some of these asswipes on sleds? seems the law is they need to be 100' away from ice shacks, night fishing is scary with sleds on the ice buzzi g around,I put reflective tape on my portable and trailer in hopes of detouring these loads from whacking us.Then we have another bad seed in sledders, seems all open country is they're special play ground,f' the farmer and his land, whats mine is mine and whats yours is mine as well, pisses me off to know end, during our last cold spell I had a few deer bedding dowm under a stand of pine tree's on my land, put out a couple bails of hay for'em,dang sleders decided to run up my creeks which busted the deer outof the bedding area in sub zero weather, managed to catch these guys for a chat,no law just conversation and they got the message but not everyone else running farm field and city property.

Interesting Reb,news said he had another bump last nover 2017,wonder what that was about?

I suspect we're going to see recommendations and maybe license requirement coming down the road, not a bad idea as folks just can't police themselves or they're kids.

Oh no.  I didn't realize the boy was in that serious of condition.  Did you see the pics of how young and cute that kid is?  I agree, can't even imagine what that family is going through.

Not just racing-he was DRUNK. AGAIN. This wasn't his first rodeo.  Having lost a girlfriend to a drunk driver many years ago (same thing-his thrid DUI-got the first two knocked down to reckless operation) I really wish the judges would get real with these folks and throw the book at them.  None of this reckless operation crap.  You get convicted the first time, you lose your license for a year, no questions asked.  Get another conviction, and you go to jail.  Plain and simple

:pouty: :angry2:  I was afraid it might come to this as Reb's original link mentioned being air lifted with head trauma along with a broken leg. This dirt bag should spend the rest of his days locked up. :mad1:

What's the over/under for his sentencing?   2 years?   If so I take the under.

WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Less?!??!?!?!
There are two degrees of vehicular homicide: First degree homicide by vehicle. This is a felony that, upon conviction, will result in a sentence of between 3 and 15 years of imprisonment (or between 5 and 20 years for habitual violators), with no parole for at least 1 year. His is a gross 1st degree because of his 2-3 prior DWI's. 5-20 for him, and I hope the f**K get's 20, but he'll serve 5 tops and be out....
