Vikings safety Sendejo wears ‘Make Football Violent Again’ hat.

 :reporter; ...
The NFL’s new helmet-to-helmet rule has provoked strong reactions among the league’s players. Minnesota Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo certainly appears to be in the camp opposed :taz: to the controversial new rule.

  ...
The new rule states players face a 15-yard penalty if found to be lowering their helmets upon contact. A player also faces potential ejection from the game for the same violation.

The new policy not surprisingly has elicited its fair share of detractors, mostly stemming from the argument that the speed of the game will make it difficult to interpret what should be ruled as a violation. Sendejo seemingly expressed his thoughts on the issue with a provocative message on his hat. :moon:

Sendejo was spotted Friday at Vikings’ training camp sporting a “Make Football Violent Again” hat.

As noted in the tweet, Sendejo has donned the hat for some time. That said, it’s reasonable to assume the Vikings safety intentionally chooses to continue sending the same message, especially in light of new league policies.

It merits noting that while players like Sendejo — who was suspended one game last season for a helmet-to-helmet hit — are staunch opponents of the new rule, other NFLers support it. Among the proponents are Los Angeles Rams cornerback Aqib Talib, who argues new rules that increase the likelihood of player safety are “good for the game.”

Sendejo best worry about his starting gig missing tackles badly VS Jaguars. Here's a tidbit I'd wonder how many of you know this MN fact in the NFL. Who was the D coordinator at Seattle when they won it all ? Who just got Jacksonville's defense to where it is today by killer drafting and coaching ? Vikes looked inept VS the jags D. Is Zumbrota Mazeppa in MN ? That's where Gus Bradley is from. He's the guy who is making Super Bowl winning defenses in the league and he's one of ours. He got screwed out of the Jaguar head  job just b4 his D got mega dominant barely b4. It goes in my book Bud Grant Gus Bradley and it doesn't hurt his sister lives in the MN town that I do and in our town no one knows lol. People sure asked why do you fly the Jaguars flag a couple years ago. Because my brother is head coach and most said BS.

Sendejo best worry about his starting gig ...

it will be interesting to see how Zim uses safety George Iloka.  I don't think they'll cut Sendejo.  With Smith, Sendejo, and Iloka, with Rhodes and the other DBs, we ought to have the best defensive secondary in the league.

Yup, he went down the road. Carlson is terrible. He's big for a kicker, but he just ain't cuttin' it. Wait 'til the pressure really gets on. Another 42 yd field goal try....*WHOOPSIES!*  Way wide left... :doah: They better do somethin' fast, he's the only one listed on the roster right now....and they coulda had Matt Bryant. They might haveta double-job Quigley, who I think has been pretty good. He's accurate.

We still need a kicker.  Hopefully the new kid shakes it off and gets aggressive with his kicks.

He looked pretty nervous and overwhelmed out there. Zimmer'll get him whipped into shape, hopefully.
