Kickers are weird - like hockey goalies - very streaky.

Problem is...  I think the Vikings problem is Zim.

He don't understand 'em.
He don't like 'em.
He hasn't gotten one kicker to perform for him.

Good luck, Dan Bailey.  Good luck, Brentt Tressler.

Bailey got a pretty nice deal after his 2019 season. They'll most likely cut him or get him to renegotiate his contract & let them go to camp to compete for the job IMO.

I think that we need to either keep Zim as far away from the kicker or he has to change the way he sees them if we are ever going to have a good one.  Bailey is the deal right now and maybe for a few years if Zim doesn't ruin him with his mind games.

Ain't that the truth.  LOL   I see we signed a new kicker.  I think Bailey may be going down the road.

I saw one article that said a likely landing spot for JJ would be Rams because of Stafford leading them to the promised land.

But I say...

I was going to give you some grief, but then I remembered your team went to the NFC Championship Game and ours went on vacation early.   :doah:

Class act for sure. No whining or finger pointing. Pretty refreshing when you see all the other comments made by big name pros.

I was hoping he would have been awarded NFL Man of the Year.  I reckon that was too much to hope for.

Certainly there are many deserving players, but I'll bet the NFL likes to give those awards to high-profile players who are going to be playing for several more seasons.

Back in 2018 hunter signed a 5 year 72 million $ deal with the Vikings. Now I see he isn't happy and wants more. :angry2: :angry2:. WTF.  Is threatening to maybe hold out, demand a trade or sit out. Let the whiney jerk sig out and not collect a check. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I am with holding judgement on this.  Yes he is great?  Like Sidney Rice why didn't he just say he needed surgery and get it instead of wasting a year of our time and his by waiting?  Would maybe help his career instead of playing the waiting/ hostage game with the team.

Seen something mentioned about starting talks to remake Thielen's deal to all signing bonus in order to create more cap space too.

This is going to be an interesting free agency year with a smaller salary cap and lots of teams with quarterbacks making big money.

Some teams who think they might be a player or two away from a Superbowl might be willing to shell out big bucks for the top free agents, but everyone else if going to have to divvy up what is left over.  I think there will be lots of quality starter "cap casualties" who will get cut and have to settle for less money elsewhere if they are too proud to accept less money from the team they are on.

Here are the 2021 Salary Cap Hits for the top QBs  (NFL Salary Rankings/)

1      Matt Ryan ATL $40,912,500

They made a big upgrade to their secondary late yday when they signed FA CB Patrick Peterson of the Cardinals IMO. https://www.bing.com/search?q=patrick+peterson&cvid=a7ee81ff73ce4d3ba523f1c40afed9f8&aqs=edge.3.0j69i57j69i60j0l3j69i60.6632j0j1
