Apathy has set in.

How come it is so hard for the offense to get anything done in the second half?

Teams gash us regularly for 7-8 yard runs up the middle.  We try this repeatedly and get stuffed at the line of scrimmage.  :doah:

I didn't hear Zim's explanation, but he should have gone for the win at the end of the game and tried for 2.  When you have an offense that can't be relied upon in the second half, what makes him think they would perform in overtime.
:surrender:
One play.  Two yards.  Every team has multiple plays in their back pocket for this scenario.  USE ONE!!!

As mentioned they had a long run, a long pass, kick return touchdown, several interceptions. They scored plenty of points. The defense gave up more.
Zimmer is a defensive head coach so.........................

I listened to KFAN on my way home yesterday.  Matt Birk was on.  I like the guests better than the hosts.  He said that it was determined the Vikes had a 96% chance to win that game with the plays that DB just mentioned.  So we only had a 4% chance to lose that game and we blew it.  I think Zim lost the team a few years ago and it has just been going through the motions since then.  I also think he has his finger heavy on the OC's decisions as to what plays are called.  That is why he has gone through so many OC's.  AND Quirk has absolutely no leadership role with this team like someone like Favre had.  SO Zim, Spielman, and Cousins all need to go to start a different philosophy here.  I am looking forward to it.  I actually think Zim is fed up too and may even want to go.  Wouldn't it be funny if Cousins asked to get traded????   LOLOL  I don't see it happening but would be funny.

 Only getting 3 pts out of the 2 TO's cost 'em the game. It should've been over in regulation IMO.  As far as the defense giving up too many points the fact that they were on the field almost twice as much as the Raven's , Time of possession was 46 to 24, & a look at the # of 1st downs, 36 to 13 will tell you why. The Ravens defense has a lot to do with the 1st downs, especially in the 2nd half. We were missing 4 starters on defense too.

It was a wild week in the NFL as 4 of the biggest favorites lost. The Cowboys(10), Rams(7.5), & NO(6.5)  all lost home games Sunday. The Bengals got killed(41-15) at home too but they were only a 2 pt favorite meanwhile  the Bills got beat in Jax too & they were a 16.5 pt favorite.

Yeah, the take I heard on KFAN yesterday is that Kapt Kirk either isn't allowed to or doesn't want to take responsibility for changing plays at the line of scrimmage.  It made them harken back a couple of seasons ago when Stephon Diggs AND Adam Thielen got frustrated with Kirk for not pushing the ball down the the field.

They continue to play not-to-lose, which means they seldom win.

Yup Quirk doesn't want the pressure of making decisions.  He should have been a tennis player.  Then he would only be holding himself back and not a whole team.  NOT a leader.
