and they say baseball is boring.   This isn't 2 good defenses, it's 2 terrible teams.

Turned out to be a great game.  Man I was worried the first half.  Both offense and defense changed their programs and kicked azz basically.

Other than the spanking of the Packers in the first game, they have won some bizarre games.

:tut:  Vikes D had 6 sacks, 13 QB hits, forced 2 fumbles as well as 2 Ints...............................pretty good game IMO. They had 10 penalties, 5 on 1 possession, & we had 2, it wouldn't have been as close as it was if it wasn't for their defense.

 The best play we had in the 1st quarter was a 73-yard punt. :doah: What's so strange about that?               ;)

Teddy was on the way up before he broke his leg.  Zim seemed to like him anyway - for whatever that was worth.     :rotflmao:

Sometimes you are never the same after something like that and the Vikings were not willing to take a chance on him with a big contract.

Maybe that was the beginning of the Zim-Spielman schism.  Maybe Zim wanted Teddy, but Spielman didn't trust the leg.

Teddy never was a franchise type quarterback like the Vikings tried to sell us. He can't throw well enough. Leg or no leg he wasn't top notch. However he will play a lot of years and make a lot of money.

I wonder how many NFL player's careers succeed or fail simply because they are on the right team at the right time or the wrong team at the wrong time.

Exactly.  AND how many guys that would have turned into great players don't even get a decent chance?

There will be 73000 mullet at the Vikings game on Sunday, for Jared Allen’s induction. Should be funny!

When did WR become a problem for the Vikings?

The report / rumor was likely started by somebody like Paul Allen to fill time on his terrible radio show. Or maybe even the children on the Morning Show on KFAN.

Thielen seems to have slowed down some.  I wonder if he is hurt a little or if age is catching up with him.  Great guy though so hope all is well with him.

He hasn't had a lot of options....

Jefferson is the only real deep threat and he is double teamed.

Theilen is slowing down

Osborne isn't what they thought he would be

Smith is just coming off injuries.

So it's Dump right.....Dump left.....Dump over the middle.

They need another deep fast threat.

Just saw that FTW guy on YT.  I like him and his Viking stuff.  I am all in on Claypool.  He is in his second rookie year and is a physical freak.  6'2" and about 210 lbs. Runs a 4.4 40 or something like that.  Remember Pitts has Trubisky at QB.   Talking mayhaps a 5th round pick.

Couple thoughts on that........

1) I don't think Claypool could be had for a 5th.
2) I think Tomlin believes Claypool & the quarterback from Pittsburg College (Pickett) are the future.

I would take him if he's cheap.

Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison has been the subject of trade rumors for the last couple of months.

Now that the trade deadline is five days away, those talks have been rekindled. Teams continue to make calls to the Viking, per multiple sources.

Where would bringing Beckham in to teach Jefferson to be a whiney Prima Donna be a good idea?     :tut:

Exactly what I worry about.  JJ is a great kid now and sure don't want to ruin that.
