Looking forward to it.  I have gotten into parts of it the last few years.

Numerous reports say the Vikings have done their homework on quarterbacks and Star Tribune insider Ben Goessling said Tuesday that the Vikings are "keen" on some of the big-name quarterbacks, including Anthony Richardson.

Goessling then went ahead and predicted the Vikings to move up to the 11th pick in a trade with the Titans to select Richardson. In theory it makes sense and Goessling noted that his mock is better described as an educated guess rather than throwing something at the wall and hoping it sticks.

I read an article about his life then and now.  I like the guy.  Seems like a smart guy with unreal athletic abilities.  Grew up with very little other than a good family.

Heard another reporter/analyst say they personally preferred Hooker over Richardson.

Yeah, richardson has upside, but he was leary of small sample size, freak athlete QBs with accuracy problems.  NFL benches are cluttered with guys like this because coaches think they can fix a guy's accuracy problems, but don't.

Sorry, but i cant remember whoes opinion that was.

Picking the best QB, or even one that will be a starter on a team for 10 years is always a crap shoot.

Personally i thing all the vikes qb draft talk is smoke, but that is just my wild a$$ guess.  If i had to bet money at them drafting a particular position, i'd go with wide reciever.

But knowing the Vikes, they'll trade down to get an extra pick somewhere.

Well....draft starts in less that 3 hours. What will the Vikes do

1.Draft for need
2.Draft best player available.

1.Quarterback
2.Wide Receiver
3.Cornerback
4.Line

I think if it and he is available they will trade up into the top 10 to take a QB.
If they don't move up....they take a wide receiver.

Lot's of predictions out there.  Some are fun to read.  Read one today that said if the Vikes can't make the QB thing happen that they take Quentin Johnson WR from TCU.  Tall fast tough receiver that would compliment JJ real well.  That would be fun to see.

I read one must-be-living-in-mom's-basement blogger that had them making trades with Seattle to move up to 5 and take QB Stroud.   :bonk:

I saw another guy, Peter Schrager - who at least writes for NFL.com - has the Vikes taking RB Bijan Robinson predicting "Bijan falls to MN and an already-good offensive team gets the best offensive player in this draft."  That ALSO would be a VERY Vikings thing to do.

Well....Wide Receiver.....Good pick. Should look good opposite Jefferson. Still haven't address QB in 2024 though.

The QB Levis who was projected to go in the top ten was still sitting when I went to bed after our pick.  There was a .08 percent chance of that happening.  I wonder why his clout dropped so much?

I think they wanted Richardson but he was taken to high by the Colts at number 5. Evidently it would have cost to much to trade up that high.

He's not the biggest or the fastest, 5'11 & close to a 4.5 40 yd dash, so they must like the fact that he's already proven he can play in the slot or out wide. He did win the Biletnikoff Award as a Junior though. Having him MIGHT make it easier for them to sign JJ to a long-term deal IMO too.

Vikings don't have the usual # of picks this year, either. Pretty sure I read that they don't have a Rd 2 pick this year, so they might've traded that away in the Hockenson deal.

Offensive got better. Defense still terrible. And they don't have a second rounder.
Although Sinse drafted number 1 last year basically didn't play last year after breaking his leg. So he is a number 1 they haven't used. Hope he can come back healthy.

Will the Vikes trade up into the second round and take Levis? Sore toe or not????

They'd probably have to trade their 2024 1st rounder to do it.

BUT, if Levis is a bona fide franchise QB, AND the Vikes don't need him until next year...

Why wouldn't they?

Yup, only 5 picks this year & 1 of those was awarded by the league for losing so many Free Agents, or a Compensatory pick.

History repeats itself. I remember everybody stabbing Favre in the back until he became a Viking. Then he became the best thing since sliced bread. Just sayin'.

Vikings trade Za’Darius Smith to Browns.

Vikes also give Browns a 6 and 7 draft pick. Vikes get two 5th round picks.

Good riddance to a mal content.
