He was so drunk he had pulled his Rolls Royce over and was sleeping in a lane of the interstate in LA.  Cut him and bring Theilen back.

Once he makes a one handed cartwheeling catch for a TD,  you and I will be clapping,  but we get what your saying. Him and lotsa players probably need help. Hopefully the players and staff grab this kid by the scruff and set him straight.

There are 29 teams out there hoping the Vikings cut him loose.

:tut: He's not the 1st 22 y/o with $13+ mil in his pocket to do something like this & I'm sure he won't be the last. He carries a $11.2 mil dead cap hit this year & they spent the entire off season trying to improve their cap space situation. So, I don't believe he'll be going anywhere.

Like said earlier, I hope he learns from it.  Just because you have more money that you ever dreamed of doesn't mean you quit being responsible.

 Remember Percy Harvin? It took almost 5 years before they got tired of his :bs: & traded him.

Percy was the dope head. Who was the receiver they took that couldn't catch because he couldn't see?

That was Treadwell. Percy had migraine headaches so said he smoked weed to help it.  He later said he got high before every game.  LOL

I always confuse Treadwell (the receiver who couldn't catch) with Cordarrelle Patterson (the receiver who couldn't run routes).   :doah:

 Read something, somewhere, that Harvin even missed his flight to Mpls after they drafted him. They said he fell asleep at the airport. :doah:           ;)

Yeah, Harvin barely played the first year after the Vikes traded him, but he did get a Superbowl ring out of it.

His tenure with the Seattle Seahawks wasn't less rocky.    He allegedly had locker room altercations with teammates and it was also reported that there were games where he sat himself down, refusing to go back on the field.

One heck of an athlete but was a head case.  Brett controlled him pretty well and kept him fired up. Then he excelled.

They finally signed McCarthy, that leaves only Dallas Turner. They open training camp 1 week from tomorrow.

That's the position that the young guy, Khyree Jackson, they drafted from Oregon & died in the car accident played too. So, they're pretty thin at CB again. Wouldn't be surprised to see 'em sign a FA CB.

Aren't they strapped for cash bumping up against the salary cap?  I'm thinkin they wait till team have to start cutting their rosters and try to pick up the best option they can find.

But God bless them if they can sign a veteran FA CB.

It looks like they signed a couple guys today. One is a LB from Washington & the other is a CB who spent some time with the Texans. https://www.dailynorseman.com/2024/7/25/24206419/minnesota-vikings-sign-lb-jabril-cox-cb-jacobi-francis-k-j-cloyd-de

I remember him from a couple years ago. He’s short, but seemed to play tough. If I remember right, he had a big interception in one game.

You are correct, sir. He's listed as 5'8" & he had an INT late in the Bears game in Chicago that season. The Bears were the team that drafted him, so he probably felt good about that pick.

  • "Conservative on some things...Liberal on others."
Former Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is taking part in his first training camp with the Atlanta Falcons this month. That might not be happening if Atlanta had been more up front with Cousins about their plans to draft a quarterback this year.

Less than two months after handing Cousins an eye-popping four-year, $180 million deal, the Falcons selected Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth overall pick in the draft. It was a move that left many in the NFL stunned, including Cousins himself, who was reportedly left "shocked" and "disappointed" by the move.

:oops1: Vikings second-year wide receiver Jordan Addison was recently charged with two misdemeanors after his July 12 arrest. Addison has a hearing scheduled on Oct. 7. Regardless of how the hearing goes, it's being speculated Addison will serve some sort of suspension.

Any suspension stemming from Vikings WR Jordan Addison’s DUI-related charges will void the $5.99M in guaranteed money remaining on his contract, per Spotrac.

The pc I read made it sound like he's been warned that he has 1 foot out the door now & he better get it together as they're getting tired of it. :doah: I don't think they'd just let him go/cut him as he was a 1st Rd pick & I think there'd be a lot of teams interested in him.
