I saw a blurb today that Flores was going to take all requested interviews, but would only consider taking a job if he thought it was a good fit.

I don't have any way of knowing if this is an accurate report or some nerd making up stuff from his mom's basement.

Elsewhere I said it must suck for black coaches to think they are only getting interviews to satisfy the Rooney Rool, but on the other hand, as a legit head coaching candidate - and not wanting to pi$$ off any of the 31 other NFL owners - you have to play the game.

At some point all coaching candidates realize that bad teams need new coaches and they aren't going to walk into ideal circumstances.  I'd be concerned about bad owners and screwed up organizations look for the best opportunity out there.  Look at Stefanski...  The Browns are all messed up, but so far, none of the blame has come back to him.

Stefanski had the Browns doing real good until management got involved with buying QB's that ruined the team.

I read that the game may be changed to Vegas.

When Flores left Miami he didn't exactly get a raving review from his QB1 there & he's taken quite a bit of heat for it. So, I'm certain he won't be in a big hurry to put himself in a spot like that again. https://rolltidewire.usatoday.com/2024/08/20/tua-tagovailoa-brian-flores-miami-dolphins/

The Browns have the #2 pick in the draft.  Tennessee has #1 and needs a QB.  QBs Shedeur Sanders (CO) and Cam Ward (Miami) could go 1-2, unless...

This from the Akron Beacon Journal mock draft:

The Browns are running it back with GM Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski after a disastrous 3-14 season. They seem poised to run it back with disastrous quarterback Deshaun Watson too. If the Browns don't go quarterback or trade down, it makes sense to target whoever they view as the best left tackle in the draft.

It will be interesting to see what happens draft night.

Oh yeah, and Baker Mayfield seems to have found a great home in Tampa.   :bonk:  :rotflmao:

Huge article in the Strib about Bynum coming up with new dance moves.  I say scrap that crap and work on being a better player on the field.  Not just him but the others he drags into the dance crap.

I saw that at the time.  My read was that Flores was a little tougher than the average coach and Tagovailoa could be a little more sensitive than the average QB - a bad fit both ways.

Since then Flores has been watching Kevin (QB Whisperer) O'Connell work wonders with underappreciated QB stock and has probably learned a thing or two.  I can imagine Flores might be ready to redeem himself and prove he can be an NFL head coach again.

Yeah, its going a bit to far now.  Every time there is a turn over, we have to wait for the defense to run to the other end of the field and do their cute little dance number in front of the camera.  Its gettin' old.
Guys, act like you've been there before.

I'm sure KOC is pretty much staying out of the way with the boys having their fun.  KOC will focus on business for sure this week and it will be up to the players to do the same.

All that endzone goofball hijinks reminded me of when the MN Twins would have those clubhouse dance parties after wins.  I looked it up...  That was way back in the 2015 season!   :rocker; :dancinred: :woot: :blues brothers: :party1:

 Monday could easily be Bynum's last game in purple as he'll get plenty of interest as a FA. He'll probably triple his money too. Then they could lose 3 of their corners as FA too & if Smith retires. That only leaves Mettellus & Blackmon coming back.

Assuming the Vikes don't spend all their money on Darnold, they'll have the 6th-most cap space to spend in free agency - and they've got a lot of guys they need to sign.

If Flores does leave, I hope that doesn't lead to a mass exodus of free agents brought in to rebuild the defense that Mike (Defense Guru) Zimmer left in a shambles (along with the help of Trader Rick Spielman).

The Flores PR machine is working overtime to rebuild his reputation. Word is he's a dictator and a asshole. To the point one of his assistent coaches from Miami wouldn't give him a letter of recommendation.

That tells me something. Some guys aren't meant to drive the car.

 Almost 1/2 of their 53 man roster, 24, will be free agents at the end of this season. Of those ,13 are on defense. Can they do as well again this year as they did last with rebuilding the D with free agents? I have my doubts!! https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2025/team/min/sort/contract_value
