boar, i have a King Cutter disk that we use. Fleet Farm sells them. The only issue I see is it needs about 350 pounds of additional weight on it to work well, but seems to do an alright job. We pull it with a 4 wheeler and it's adjustable for how deep you want to go. Used a Polaris Ranger to pull it last time and that worked better the wheeler. Once we were done we broad-casted the seed and drug it in with a piece of cyclone fence. Good luck and have fun.

Spray with glyco(roundup)  to kill weeds.  Drag with fence. Broadcast seeds.  Drag again.  Pack with atv.
Watch it grow.
What r u planting?

I do it the way dakids does.  Simple but effective.  I has a number of advantages.  Other than sprayer, no real equipment is required.  Because you don't till the ground, you will not have the rock (if you have them) problem.  Also, you will have very minimal weeds.  Any ground that is tilled will be a magnet for every weed seed in the area.
