I came up with this idea about 10 years ago, at the time I owned a Vexilar Flasher and went to the store to buy a sunshield, I didnt really care for the sunshield that Vexilar made at the time, because it was plastic and too light weight, I went home and found a coffeee can that fit perfectly over the head of the flasher unit, I sanded the can and painted it black, it couldn't of been a better fit. I started using the can and had people coming up to me on the ice to take a look, shortly after that, just about everyone that I fished with would show up with the coffe can idea.

It works great and it's free! They fit perfectly over any Vexilar or Marcum flashers.
