They are so cool.  A couple of years ago we had one on our trail cam in our spruces.  That was a major event for us.

I don't know what I'd rather see most from a stall, safe deer stand: a bear, a wolf, a bobcat, or a cougar.

Way cool.  For obvious reasons, we have a "bobcat" stand.
Steve-o, for me it would be bobcat for sure.

I think a cougar.  Shut-up Glenn.  I have seen wolf and bear.  So bobcat or cougar.

My rarest sightings have been a young fisher and a white weasel.  The fisher climbed the tree next to us to check us out; the way gray squirrels sometimes do.  The weasel was kinda fun because it came by when I was sitting on the ground overlooking a cattail slough.

If I had to pick one of the four critters I proposed earlier, I'd say I'd like to see a wolf someday - although not enough to hope they expand into the area where I deer hunt.

Wolves are a little scary, but mountain lions are down right terrifying.  I'd feel somewhat confident I could scare a wolf off and it wouldn't come back to eat me.  Lions are ambush hunters, and if I lost sight of it, I wouldn't feel safe until I got back into my vehicle.
