No fricking way man..    LOL  But I have always wanted a Colt Cobra.  I think that is the 38/357.  Saw one about 20 years ago before the prices went up.  Should have bought it.  I think it was about 5 or 6 hundred then.  Don't know what they are now.  A 9 mm would be cool to have too.

I've got a nice, pristine S&W Model 19-4 .357  4" with target hammer, sights, and trigger, (3 T's) WITH a pinned and recessed barrel...and the original box. Not a lot of those around anymore. Rangefield mustang grips on it right now, walnuts are in the box.  Might be parting with that soon..... ;)

It is? You must have one too....wait, that didn't sound right.... :rotflmao:

That was my first duty gun. Bought it brand new off another cop in '81 who was in my class, said it was too big for him. It was awful heavy, we went to 9mm's shortly thereafter, so I stopped carrying it. Glad I did; zero holster or tip wear.

This is my attempt at making up for a small P. It's only a single shot .44 Mag. so I have to wait until the target is close so I can't miss.

***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***

Hey now, I had my own small weener gun too!  Ruger RedHawk 44 mag.

And mom was right. If I played with that thing to much I would go deaf.  Or was it blind?

I think that is what I was thinking a Python.  It was chrome or stainless with black grips.

No kidding.  It must have been around 1995 or so when my friend said prices are going up so we went and he bought one.  I don't think it was much more than $600 at the time.  Sure wish I would have gotten one.

Its hard to guess when any gun is going to be worth considerably more in the future.  And even if you are a good guesser, it is expensive to buy one or two extras and leave them unfired in the original box.  And it usually takes a long time before the investment pays off.  And even then, you have to suddenly be willing to part with that "Safe Queen" that you've hiding all those years.

I prefer to shoot what I have.  And if there are one or two that are a bit more collectible than the others, it only adds to the fun.
