i picked weekend, feb 2nd and 3rd, on lake winniebigoshis. those that have fished the lake can pick the landing as im not familiar, glenn, dadkids, HD, give me ur input if we dont get alot of interest or it dosent work, im goi g to LOW. whoz in?

Highbanks resort is da place!! be ther or be glenn and just show for an hour.

Weekend before or after would work much better for me. My buddy that came with last year to mille lacs has to work the weekend of the 26th.

The only place on Winnie I've gone out of is Highbanks. Caught a ton of jumbo perch & pike....walleye, some....

I don't have a fish house except a portable, so for me, it would be a day trip.

Highbanks has fish houses for rent, not sure of prices. I can contact Jigglestick if you want?

Highbanks Fishing Report:

ICE UPDATE!! We are seeing a few atvs and snowmobilers using our access. Catching some perch and walleyes in 14' of water using fatheads. Ice is rough. 10-11" ice thickness. Minimal snow cover. High Banks will be opening for the season on Friday, January 4 at 4pm. If you are accessing in December, please call for ice updates. 218 246-2560.

Nodaks is on the south side of the lake and we usually went out of there. They cater more to perch fishing. The scheduled weekend that we will be up there is the same weekend we were up there last year. We caught lots of perch all day long and also caught about a dozen large pike mixed in. A few walleyes on the rattle reels at night and a huge eel pout. Nearest other fish house was 200 yards away. High banks is on the NE side of lake and you will catch mostly walleyes with a few perch mixed in. We fished out of there in the summer but never in the winter.

Nodaks is fine with me.
Never used them before, and I don't have any contacts there.
So I don't know what they offer.

Have a relative who been going there mid-February, for quite a while. He had nothing but good things to say about them. Think he's mostly chasin perch though as takes a couple trips to Canada every summer too.
