Got a few....

Just before the storm....the gills were bitting!
I fished for 5 hours, and had non-stop action.
Iced over a 75-100 fish....most we're 7 to 8 inches long.
All were released (cause I have fish in the freezer already)
27 fow, all suspended from 15 to 20 ft. Wax worms on a small yellow jig.

I use a St. Croix noodle pole, no bobbers for me, I gave those up years ago.

I actually came back to 'em. I love seeing them slowly disappear down that hole...! Half the fun! Maybe cuz I kick back and put my feet up...I like the lazy fishing!  (Until the bite gets hot... ) Depends on what I'm fishing for though...waldos and nordies, hunched over that hole ready to nail 'em.

8 to 9 inches of good clear ice.  Lots of open water everywhere.  Pressure ridges as well.
Lake X is really Pelican between Monticello and Buffalo.   The lake is down at least 2 more feet from where it was last year.  Very likely to freeze out.

ooh...………...smoked tullies haven't had them since the days of the blood bath on leech.

anyone still hear if they still catch them up there????? we used to stay at andersons northland lodge on the south end and go out off stoney point. man them were the fun good old days.
