yes go to the mud flats and try to find 30 ft. of water if you have a camera try to find the edge of the mud and gravel. I have been going out of coves bay and fishing on the west side of spirit island. There is a well marked road and the only presure ridge has been frozen shut for weeks now. Good luck and let us know how you do. Thanks, Dave.

if you go out of hunters on saturday this weekend they are having the perch extraveganza which costs $10 dollars to enter and that includes your road pass for saturday.

there is a ton of spots to fish out of hunters.  we have done well around 3 mile reef which is not to far out on the lake.  my buddies and i have been going out to the flats mostly though lately since the walleye season is coming to an end and we have been doing quite well.  its about 6-7 miles on hunters road to the flats. from what iv seen you can drive anywhere out there this year (just pay attention to forcast this weekend cuz you wouldnt want to get stranded with the possable snow coming in).  as far as pressure ridges go, hunters had 2 nice bridges over them on wednesday that you wont have a problem with.
check out hunters website for info on perch extrveganza.
they do have a nice bar there, not as big as the goose but it gets hopping on weekends.
