I'm starting to wonder...Where's the snow storm?

We have got a dusting so far, here in Aitkin County

I figure, if I start to question the weather man's accuracy of his/her forcast. then old mother nature will just have to make me look like the fool, because I would like to see a couple of feet of snow.

 Anybody get'in any snow yet?

We got 2" of sleet/rain mix yesterday evening and thru the night. >:( Round 2 is suppose to show up sometime this morning bringing some more sleet/rain mix and then turn to snow. They are estimating us to get 12" or more of snow by Sunday night and wind gusts of over 40mph. :o

Everyone be SAFE if you venture out  ;)

We only got a dusting of snow overnight also down here in Owatonna (60 miles south of Twin Cities on 35W) but it was on top of about an inch or 2 of sleet that started around 6pm last night.

It looks like we are starting to get some more sleet coming down now at 9am and the radar shows a long line of freezing rain / sleet / snow coming up from the south around Des Moines area. They are saying that this will last all weekend and even carry into next week with scattered snow / sleet / freezing rain through Thursday sometime.

It is snowing pretty good in Mankato. We had an evening of rain and sleet along with high winds. The roads are extremely icey. It looks like a couple of days in the homestead.

Wish it would miss us :'( Just ventured outside and down the hill I went in the backyard, on my back :o Ice is at least a 1/4" thick here and it is starting with the freezing rain again >:( I can put up with snow, but ice is a totally different ball game. Alot of power outages around here, trees down, people in ditches. Scanner is going crazy around here. People need to stay home instead of venturing out on the roads ::)

just ventured out to the grocery store to "stock up on supplies" ha ha.

roads around town (Owatonna) are mainly just slushy right now but coated with a layer of frozen sleet underneath. it is sleeting here now again lightly. not sure we are gonna see the heavy snow they were predicting for us earlier...it seems like that is hitting further north around St Michaels-Rogers area where my sister lives. She said they have a good coating of sleet and frozen rain on their house, trees, etc and snow is coming down very heavy around lunchtime today.

I shoveled once this afternoon, there was about an inch of freezing rain and ice, and about 2 inches of snow, I'm heading back out to shovel again now, it looks like another 4 inches or so.

Total in Woodbury so far is approximately 6-7 inches.

I shoveled three times here in Maple Grove (Twice Saturday and Once this morning).  We easily have 10 inches with some drifts of 3 feet.  Had to let the dog out the garage, because both the front door and patio door were snowed in.    :o

Same here Scott, my front door was blocked by 2 feet of snow.

Just got done clearing the driveway with the help of 2 neighbors, there was probably 7-9 inches this time, so we have a grand total of 13-16 inches in Woodbury.

Hard to be more accurate with the drifts.

Gonna take the kids and dog outside to play now.

I just got back from Upper Red.  This morning at 6am (Sunday 25th)there was approx. 6"-8" on the ground.  This measurement could be off a lil as it was windy all weekend.

You guys have it easy. Just got our power on at 3:15pm today. Was off from saturday at 6:05pm.  We had 1/2" ice on vehicles, power lines down everywhere, trees also. Thank god I am a hunter and a fisherman. Pulled in the ice house heaters, took the rope light out of the portables and strung them thru the house, brought up the boat batteries to run the lights. We were set for the outage ;D

I am back online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I will add my 2 cents worth, Received 1/2 inch of ice, and  22 inches of snow Winds blew about 30 miles breaking power poles. Lost power from 4 o-clock on sat till noon on Sunday Along with that we have a shared well with no electricity no water. Have my Grand kids staying with us while there parents went to Hawaii and my mother is living with us I had to melt snow to flush toilets. Glad that nightmare is over.
