Is there any update on Odorizzi injury?  The interwebs said he pulled his groin on the mound, but I haven't seen any updates.
seems like all you see are baseball players pulling at their groin!!!!!!!! :doah:  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

The media reported last night that he was removed in the 7th inning because of cramping in his left hamstring.

I did see yday where they put Odorizzi on the 10 day IL. With little chance of catching the Yankees for the # 2 seed in the AL now, it'll be interesting to see what Rocco does with the starters these next 4 games.

Theoretically, if Odorizzi heals, he could be ready for Game 3 of the first round series.  However, if he is on the 10 Day DL, how does that work for playoff rosters?  Could they bring him back midseries?

 Not sure, Steve-o. I do know that they can change the roster between rounds. I just looked into it a bit more & everything I've read leads me to believe that he won't be able to pitch in the 1st round since he's on the IL & won't be on the playoff roster for the 1st round.

 Not so sure 'bout that , Reb. As it's get away day 'cause it's the last game in Detroit so they're travelin & that means it's an early game today. Smeltzer gets the ball @ 12:10 our time, so you might be watchin a replay of that tonight.  ;)

Astudillo(HR # 301) & Schoop(HR #300) had most the RBI's in yday's win. Berrios takes the mound tonight @ 7:15 tryin for win #100. :cheerleader: Twins vs Yankess 1st round, starting next Friday.

 Guess NY could still beat out the Astros for the best record but the magic # for that not to happen is down to 1, so...................................... This Twins team will be the 1st since the '65 team to win 100 games. :applause:   :happybounce:

With the Houston win last night it's official, they'll finish with the #1 seed in the AL & play the WC winner. So it will be Twins vs Yankess next Friday.

:happy1: Yeah, they were 1 behind & Judge hit 1 for them yday but the Twins had 3. Cron, Cave, & Castro were the only ones with RBI's so it had to be those guys. Castro hit the last 1! :happybounce: :cheerleader:

Twins set MLB home run record with 307 but lose finale

"The Twins spent an entire season chasing, breaking and setting both franchise and Major League Baseball home run records.

It took every last one to set baseball’s most revered record: With Jason Castro’s fifth-inning homer, the Bomba Squad will enter the record books as the top home run-hitting team in MLB history."

Personally speaking, I don't think this was baseball's most revered record, but I'm stoked for the team.  And who'd a thunk it would have been the Twins to do it.  We couldn't hit home runs in the middle of the steroid era.  Remember the excuse that they couldn't hit them in the new stadium because the cement was curing and made the air more dense?  Congrats, Twins.  Now go clobber the Yanks!

Twins get good news on Luis Arraez’s ankle sprain

"The Twins received the best possible news on infielder Luis Arraez, whose MRI on Sunday morning revealed a Grade 1 right ankle sprain, the lowest severity a sprain can be.

Arraez collided on the field Saturday with Willians Astudillo trying to catch a ball on the mound and had to be carted off the field, unable to put any pressure on his ankle. Though it initially looked like it might be worse, the MRI confirmed what the Twins expected."

I'm not sure  when they need to be posted, might even be the day of the 1st game, but I'm very curious as to what the Playoff Roster will look like. 'Specially what pitchers?

What I found said 6:07, not sure if that's ET or CT. 2 NL games today with Cardinals/Braves the early 1, Nats/Dodgers is in LA & the late game. Go Twins, kick those Yankees  :moon: :cheerleader:
