everyone can use a little grammer update now and then, so here's yours for today.

is it COMPLETE or  FINISHED????

No english dictionary has been able to adequately explain the difference between these two words.........COMPLETE or FINISHED.

In a recent linguistic competition held in London, and attended by supposedly the best in the world, Sandor Balgobin, a Guyames man, was the clear winner with a  standing ovation which lasted well over 5 minutes.

the final question was..........how do you explain the difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED in a way that is easy to understand. some people say there is no differnce between the 2.

here is his astute answer...............

when you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE. When you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED, and when the right woman catches you with the wrong woman, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED.

Very good Glenn.  I liked the whole deal.  A nice word smith thing.  Can be used as a verb or a noun and are interchangeable.

Good, still as ornery as ever. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: I give him crap all the time there. He had had some medical issues. Had always had some lung issues, since I've known him anyway.

He got out  that antique place in red wing. He had a place north of Duluth he and his wife head to.
