Found them I the shallows.  7 FOW 4 to 5 feet down.  Largest was 13 inches.  Orange tungsten  tipped with beavertail.   Caught 9 crappie in 30 min and then took me 45 more min to get the last one.

Nope it was the largest crappie.  I caught the 2 gills while trying to get my 10th crappie.

Caught 7 crappies and 13 sunnies Sunday morning.  Fried 30 fillets last night.  I was hoping to take the leftovers to work last night but the kids loved them and finished all that I cooked.

Sorry, Lee, since you two are close brothers, yer gonna haveta keep him occupied.  :evil:
He wanted current pics; he got 'em. Besides, he says he's busy with daily union stuff; No time for fishing.
I wouldn't wanna take him away from his occupation anyway. Why, he may become a Trump spokesman some day! All the right credentials !!  :reporter;
PS....appears you've got a high-pressure smoke leak ya need to take care of, too.

We need to get back to crappie talk anyway.  :fish2:

Were they starting to shallow up a bit early, ya think? Wondering if where you were where the ice was thinner and no snow cover, combined with sun + warmer water in that spot...?

Max depth of swamp is 12 to 13 feet. Lake has no snow left.
