Met my brother for what may well be my last ice outing for this year.  We walked out and had the entire lake for ourselves.  Fishing was sporadic but we did get a number of nice crappie, some decent sunfish, a few small bass, some perch and also had some excitement landing northerns on ultralight gear.  There was about 16 inches of ice. It was all hard when we went out but the top 1.5 inches was slush when we left for the day.

No guidelines for social distancing on a lake

He said, I got this half and you can have the other half of the lake

Fun time with the odd nord on ultralight rigs

Some pretty nice crappies

We walked from the opposite shore because no respecting fisherman fishes by the landing

Mobile fishing sled.  Things go slushy by the time we left

May not be able to get on the lake in a day or two.

Nice crappies? Beautiful crappies! This retirement thing looks more intriguing all the time...

I still got out last weekend on Mill Lacs by God. About 60 guys not one crappy hit the ice in about 5hrs. But, dang it I got out there!  :mad1:     :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

People probably thought you were part of a fishing show with all the ad stuff on that vehicle.

Thanks guys.  Yes, Dotch, I do recommend retirement to all and the earlier the better.  All the fish went back except enough for a meal which I had yesterday at noon.  As you may know, I usually fry enough fish for three meals, eat two of them while frying the fish and save one for later.  This time I didn't have any to save for later.   :rotflmao:
