Yesterday I went on a shed hunt and general exploration on some of my property just to see how things survived over the winter.  Checked out a number of ponds and sat in a few deer stands (ok I needed to rest now and then).  Good news is I didn't find any dead deer bad news is I didn't find any sheds either.  I traveled around 4.5 miles (probably more because I took a lot of side trips and followed a lot of deer trails.

First pond of the day

Clear water and a couple places where water was flowing out implies there may not be active beavers

Cool pictures.  Hoping to get up north and check out the hunting land in 2 weeks.

Looks like a great time.  Love to do that.  Man that one beaver did a job on that tree.  I'm hoping to go up north shortly also.  Still some snow in the woods there.  good luck.

Sure looks nice and peaceful. I could sequester there a lot easier than in this city.
