Way to go Glenn :happy1: :happy1:

I don't miss work at all. Only the people I worked with. You will find plenty to do.

so this kinda forced retirement thing has had me running a whole spectrum of emotions, from being totally pissed to well, maybe its time and a good thing. so this past 4-5 days I've read and heard things that kinda teed me off.

one of the things that transpired was the International assigning our shops to an International Rep that actually came from a shop. I decided to give him a call!!!!! a half hour phone conversation with him was quite interesting to say the least. I know the guy well, and we talk.

lets just say my attitude towards retiring has changed and its down the path of I think its going to be a good time to retire, and NO I will not go back and be this so called consultant or help. I walk out the door that last day i'm DONE!!

that IR made some comment they may invite me down to the ISO conference in vegas the next time they have it. that be cool. to me that means some of those international people do or did appreciate the job I did the past 13 years. :happy1: :happy1:

:happy1: Good to hear that your startin to get your head wrapped around this situation, bud. Personally, I'm not sure I'd cut the chord right away as you may have a change of heart down the road, or not. I know for me, I hated my last job & don't miss it 1 bit. Met some good people there though & do miss them.

oh I hear what your saying, thing is they'll only call when there in a pickle. I could get into helping organize a new shop.

But hear is my thought process, if they feel they don't need me, or can do without me for just 1 more year... Let them figure it out.

I feel bad for my shop members because I truly believe they will not be properly represented.

Enjoy your retirement.  You will not regret the move.  Sometimes, you miss the friends, but you will meet some more and move on.
