My current craftsmanship lawnmower of about 35 years is about toast. I decided today I'm in the market for a new one. I have been thinking about a mulcher but decided MEH, not. Any. Ideas on where I'd be get a decent mower? I looked on line at home Depot, fleet farm and Menards.  Also the local hardware store and river power and equipment here in town but to me on line shopping suks. :doofus:

I

simply want a gas powered 20 inch lawnmower. No bagger, just a side discharge mower??

Makes, models, brands???

35 years is a pretty good run.  Good luck getting that out of your next one - whatever you decide.

I've seen several people using battery pushers. We've had good luck with the craftsman pushers, but nuttin wrong with Toro and snapper either.. why dont you want a mulcher and bagger for tge garden?

I can go to the city lot and get all the grass clippings I want.

I thought long and hard about a mulcher, cost more. And last fall my neighbors might of thought I was goofy when I did this, but I would rake up the maple leaves in my front yard and and dump them in my back yard and then mow them up with the mower. Worked pretty good, so, why not.

And I don't want to be like my dickhead neighbor that has a mulch mower. His is a Honda so that ain't happening either. :happy1:

With that said I may decide on a mulcher but never a bagger. I.  Ain't got time to keep dumping bags with really no place to bring it

The only time I put the baggers on is last two times in the fall and after dethatching in tge spring, but it is nice having that option.  My old neighbor had a Honda pusher, sucker had a lower and upper set of blades like my old mtd rider, cut like the dickens.

Yea you wouldn't be saying that if he was your neighbor. They called the cops on my other neighbor for crossing the boundary with his rider because he was mowing around some ornamental bush he had. :doofus: :doofus: like really??? :pouty:

Mom had an early Honda  just like the 1 Boober described, ours at home is a Craftsman, the 1 up here is a cheapy(~$100) & a Weedeater, used to be Lawnboy, I think.  Husqvarna 24 hp Kawasaki/48" cut rider up here along with the almost 30 year old Craftsman/42"

Just so we cover all Da bases here Glenn. I just wanted ta remind ya of da 10th commandment.

“You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”

Now just sit down and relax  while forgeting about any of dem crazy  revenge :taz: ideas wit da neighbor.

However back in the day when I used the real farm raised fertilizer I sure snickered when we had a south wind. I'd wait an extra 4-5 days before I tilled it in. :nerd: :nerd: :nerd:
