anyone here shoot a crossbow?????????

my granddaughter and her boyfriend tried talking  me into bow hunting with a crossbow. i guess you no longer need to have a medical reason in mn to use crossbow as long as your old enough.

what are there price ranges for a respectable crossbow? it sounded like i would be able to hunt where they hunt, part of the reason i had no interest at the moment to get back into archery hunting.

thinking of selling the 2 compounds i have now to finance the crossbow???????

yea i know boar............wont matter.......... :mooning: :mooning: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Showed my wife the Fleet Farm ad with the crossbow for this week.  Told her my shoulders getting pretty sore and I need to go to the Doc and get a Note!   :happy1: :happy1: :rotflmao:

Cross bow could be a good option.  Last week I had new strings, new drop away rest and light installed on my bow so I guess I don't plan to switch anytime soon.  Shot a bunch of arrows today with a buddy.  Bow and I still work.  I have it set to 55 pounds.

As of about 5 years ago a new hitch in the law says anyone over 60 can use a crossbow for any type of hunting where a bow and arrow is allowed with no paperwork or additional licenses.   :sleazy: :smoking:

:happy1: me like!!!! :sleazy:.  And the fact I may have a place to hunt.
They were telling me that they could tag 9 deer each. :doofus: they hunt between Avon and Albany. Not very far drive for me.

Dang, forget the Doctors note!  From DNR regs.  :happy1: :happy1:

"Can I hunt with a crossbow?  Persons age 60 and over with a valid archery license may take deer or turkey with a crossbow during the respective regular archery seasons."
