So on friday I had a few errands to do.  1st was to pick up my atv from the shop.  Last spring I started it and it sounded like crap and then stopped.  I took it in and a mouse had filled the air intake with birdseed that was in garage.  Air filter had fallen off.  When I brought it in the quote for prepare was 2500.  When I went in to pay they told me my bill was only 1250.

Next job was to get truck that was in shop for a break job.  Needed pads, rotors, and calipers.  Payed the owner of shop 550.  When I got home I got a phone  call from the auto shop.  He said that he over charged me and I needed to come back.  Bill should have been 300.  I gladly paid the man and gave him a 50 dollar cash tip.

Assuming the services are good it's how you build a loyal customer base in this day & age. People are so used to getting ripped off that stories like this one are few & far between.

Kudo's to both businesses.

That's a good deal on the brake job dk! I'm sure in our area pads & rotors would run ~ $100 a wheel just for parts let alone new caliphers & labor too.
