Gray wolf loses Endangered Species Act protections

Federal wildlife officials are removing the gray wolf from the U.S. Endangered Species Act list, saying the wolf population — an estimated 6,000 roaming the continental U.S. — has recovered and the animal no longer requires federal protection.

I thought it was a federal court injunction that kept states from managing their own populations the last time.

How does this affect the courts ruling?

Like in 2011, states have control. Problem now is our current Governor is opposed to any wolf control in Minnesota. Last time the state of California led the charge to get the delisting overturned.  I suspect they will try once again.

It doesn't matter who's controlling it. The crazies will still try and sue to shut it down. If only a few of their kitties and poodles got chewed up. Then they would be all for taking a few out!
