Our granddaughter gave us a flat screen TV. THIS one is free to whoever wants it. Need a remote and it works. I'd be willing to meet up close by but otherwise gotta come and get it.

Good luck with that Glenn.  Even if you put your $100 sign on it out front noone will steal it.  Break it up and put some pieces in your garbage every week.

The transfer station in Cohassett has a huge building with a bunch of BIG boxes in it that is just for those things. The boxes are usually full because there's no charge, good thing too or the ditches & woods would be full of stuff like that.

We put Sis's big (36") old Curtis Mathes on Nextdoor for 2-3 days last year & didn't get 1 nibble. They were gonna set it down at our free corner but it was such a beast to move, must've weighed 70-80#'s, that I told 'em it might be easier just to take it to Cohassett & that's what they did. It worked fine & we had the original remote too.

For what they charge at the dump out your way I'm not driving to cohasset.

Think they charge about 15 bucks  at the recycling place here in town.

When flat panels came out, there were enough CRTs being tossed out that places would accept them for free and would harvest the metals and such from them.

Now there isn't enough volume to turn a profit (or so they say), so now everyone charges you so they can "recycle" them.

Almost correct, Snow.

Put it in an Amazon box and leave it on your front step.

Why go to the hood when the hood will come to you.   :rotflmao:

  Thought you were on a fixed income now & with being retired had lots of time. :doah:  Not out of our way as we take recyclables out there every week or 2 anyway when we're headed to GR for some groceries.

 Thought you were gonna take it up to the lake to put it on the free corner anyway & it's not more than 6-8 miles from where you get back on Hwy 2 off 6 on your way up. :tut: If your really worried about the wear & tear on your truck, maybe you should buy a better truck!! :sleazy: :nerd: :nerd:
