On MLK day I took a buddy and 2 of his kids fishing.  They chased flags for 2 hours before they got tired enough for me to catch a fish.  They caught 12 bass and 5 slot pike.  Biggest bass was 3.5 pounds.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

The reason I ask is a DNR plane dropped out of the sky on us one day and I had just caught one when he walked up. I set it by the hole and he said are you going to keep that?  :drillsergeant:
Not knowing the date I nudge it in to the hole with my foot and said Nope!  :rotflmao:
Must have been later in the season, I never really ice fish for them.
