Good grief,last summer I thought the merc 400 was over kill now mercury came out with a 600 12v O/B good grief....wny not just jet the rig with 500hp.

Seems like more of the big off shore boats are going to multiple large motors then inboard now a days. Probably easier to work on and it looks cool to have 3-4-5 big ponies hanging off the back. Look on YouTube for Overhaul inlet videos. It's crazy.

 not quite this is a single 600 12v O/B  alot less maintaince on a single O/B compared to 3 or 4.  is what they tell me.
