Remember when everyone was worried about Y2K bugs crashing our critical infrastructure?   Consulting firms made boatloads of money avoiding this envisioned catastrophe.

If I had corporate interests to protect, I'd be working my :moon: off to figure out how to get my data and systems off the internet.

We need to re-learn how to do business off-line so that hacker/hijackers and foreign enemies can't do us harm.

Me too Leech but the ransomware is a real and serious problem and, yes, it's been traced to Russia. De Nile is a river in Egypt. I like Steve's idea of staying offline as much as possible since firewalls don't seem to be effective.

Its an arms race the hackers will always win.  We like to think that software upgrades patch security holes, and the do, but new software also exposes/creates new ones.

There is too much money to be gained with too little risk of being caught and prosecuted.  And as long as countries like Russia and China harbor these terrorists, extortionists, and enemies - our national security and economy is at risk.

I seriously don't understand why we don't offer up some cash to some of the 1000's of hacker geeks we have living in their basements doing this shat all day in this country.  Form our own little Cyber counter squad and pay then some bucks every time they dig up a hacker attack from another country.  :happy1:
I'm sure we have some Government nerds trying to do it in Hillary Clintons closet, but they don't seem to good at it!

I'll bet they are on the job and VERY good at it.  And since the cyber warfare landscape is ever-changing, I assume the NSA is adapting along with it.

Ok, I hope they start looking for bad guys outside the country sometime though?  :doah:

Maybe so leech, but it's let's blame the russian theory again, the left pushed it a few years ago false accusation's against trump's first impeachment coup attempt with pencil neck schifty lying through his teeth it was "russia russia russia" for 12 months, then this east coast allegely russian hack pipeline, then colonial paid a 5 million ransom to who? before the hack was fixed,it's like paying a car repair shop up front before your car is fixed, weeks before biden shut down our west central united states pipeline(keystone),then we have "dimwit" in michigan shutting down the canadian pipeline, why? yesterday numb nutts biden canceled alaskan oil leases putting alaska in to a financial tail spin, soon  we'll see our pump prices pushing $5/gal again at this rate(crude oil jumped to $70/barrel).I  don't buy anything the media feeds us these days or the enquirer unless I have a salt shaker on the table, this sure smells like the left pushing us to they're green deal, our country has gone from the number one leading oil producing country to sucking up to our enemies in 4 months, everything biden touches is a disaster,

Well my rant for the day,but what we have happening in country today after a few short months is beyond unbeliveable.

The only thing I have seen stumbling, bumbling Biden do since he came out of his basement. Is to hire a bunch of Rainbow bright cabinet members to make sure he has all the "Themes" covered. And follow Trump backwards undoing everything he put in place. Can anyone name one thing he has done in office yet to move the country forward to be more safer and prosperous here and around the world? 🤔

Please, those steps were already in place. All he did was trip over them on his way in. 🙃

Naw LPS  just connecting the dot's on my own right or wrong I hate to see where our country is heading again, from the disrespect for our police force nationwide to this current adminisration putting everyone in front of us Americans....not looking to battle here just stating my opinion, none of us will change but I'm not buying what's being shoved down our throat.

According to the right wing nut jobs you listen to, Trump will be inaugurated in August so you should all be happy now. Do you really think casting doubt on a free and fair election is good for the future of our country.
Maybe if Trump had played in sports he would have learned how to accept a loss with class and dignity. Oh, that's right, he couldn't do that because of those terrible bone spurs.

Full transparency is good but it requires bipartisan scrutiny not anything like the partisan and secret election "scrutiny" in Arizona

We shall see glenn no your clear my point was aimed at the fools that voted for biden, stand down,no offense intended to you glenn, most of us see this absentee voting issue w/o citizen ID  as a easy  fraud as it seems to be coming to lite in our swing states the last few days, not that any of these audits will make a difference today but it may restore confidence in our national elections, either way how these audits play out most of us just want the truth,I'm not bying biden won with 80 million votes hanging out in his basement ,the few rallies he attended he waved to corn fields  and maybe 10 people getting off his fossil fuel private jet.
