 BREAKING: Chicago Bears Coach Resigns Following FBI Raid, Releases Statement

Chicago Bears’ defensive coordinator Alan Williams is stepping down.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Williams announced his resignation as the Bears’ DC “effective and immediately”, earlier this morning. In a statement that Rapoport shared, Williams said that he was stepping away to focus on his health and family.

In a stunning development on Wednesday, it was reported that FBI agents had raided Williams’ home and Halas Hall, though other reports indicated that the latter location was not raided.
 Details about the reason behind the raiding of Williams’ home haven’t been revealed yet, but we’ll be sure to share more details as they become available.

Bears Cut Ties with QB Amid Dramatic Day for Organization

Nathan Peterman is no longer a member of the organization after Chicago decided to cut ties with the third-string quarterback on Wednesday, September 20.  Peterman is now the second reserve quarterback with whom the Bears have parted ways in as many months.

Later, starting quarterback Justin Fields blamed the offensive coaching staff for his “robotic” and unsuccessful play to start the season before ultimately walking those comments back.

Chicago Bears news: Over $100K in equipment stolen from Soldier Field, manager says/

The Chicago Bears are trying to track down equipment that was stolen earlier this week at Soldier Field.  A Soldier Field manager said someone stole equipment, including gators and lawn mowers, from a parking structure at the NFL stadium.   The estimated loss is over $100,000.  It happened sometime overnight on Wednesday.  Staff said the thieves tore down a security fence to drive the equipment out of the garage.

The Broncos gave up three players and four draft picks across the 2022 and 2023 drafts to get Russell Wilson.  AND Wilson's $49 million per year extension runs though the 2028.  How's that workin out for 'dem?
