  I think it cost Brady some money but it was really more about how much cap space they had that season IMO. With the new deal they were able to sign a couple key guys that had a really good years for them.

Redoing his deal in '14 with NE did cost him more than I thought, ~ $21 million. But he got another ring in '15 & '17 too.

The Jets were the other team trying to sign Kirk the last time he was a free agent. He's not going there now. Erin would throw a hissy fit.

Dozens of people had to be transported to hospitals after the Chiefs/Miami game for frostbite and hypothermia. Quite a few had to have fingers or toes amputated. Temp was -4......windchill -27. Guess they don't know how to dress for cold weather.

Russell Wilson is going to sign with the Steeler's as he met with them for 6 hours yday. Pitt will pay him the veteran minimum of $1.2 million & the Broncos will pay the rest of his $37.8 million salary. Baker Mayfield signed a $100 mil/3yr deal with TB too.

I'm glad the Vikings didn't do that deal.  Think how tempting it might have been... 

And Spielman and Zimmer would have been all over that.  A washed up, superbowl-winning QB, on a short deal, for only $1.2M...  More money to spend on the defense...   Sign 'em up.
