It seemed to me Belichick likes McCarthy more than Maye. He didn't seem sold on Maye. At least that was my impression.

Either that or he is playing the "sour grapes" contrarian role against the team that fired him.  This way, if Maye doesn't pan out, he can say, "I told you so."

been reading something interesting coming from the KC Chiefs organization. with the new kickoff rules coming next year there looking at a different position player to do kickoffs rather then there place kicker claiming it will be another player the recieving team actually has to try and block.

makes sense!!!!!!!

I still don't completely understand the new kicking deal.  Need to read up on it more.  Sounds kind of complicated to me.

Sad deal for all people & families involved.

At 3:14 in the morning I doubt they were on their way to church.

Remember Texans and Bear play tonight.  Think the Bears will put Caleb Williams in for a few plays.

Raining even harder now and lightning nearby so I think they called it off.  Bears 21 Texans 17  Texans were favored by 1 1/2.  OU was 31 I think.

Finally some football tonight.

Lions @ Giants.  Giants by 4.5

Panthers @ Patriots   Pats by 6.5

I like the Lions personally.

So I was kind of curious to watch the Packers tonight.  A buddy just told me that it is on Peacock.  What a bunch of BS.  I won't even make the effort.  It is in Brazil.  If they don't want me to watch it I won't.

I guess where there playing, where the stadium is, is a really rough tough neighborhood.  Lots of crime.

Both coaches told there players no sightseeing.  Stay at the hotel to avoid getting hurt.

WTF the NFL think playing in a place like that, :doofus: :doofus:

Exactly.  We don't care about the safety of our players and coaches as long as we can make some money.

The soccer team that they gave half mill to to play there hates green due to their arc rivals color being green so the Pack and Eags  will not be wearing green.  ?????

Someone was talking on the radio about "Why Brazil if it is so bad?"

They were saying that the NFL powers-that-be have sort of divided up the whole world and have different teams do focused marketing in those areas.  That is why the Vikings are so popular in Great Britain - that is their marketing area.

That does make sense.  Get more countries into it. Now the people in Brazil  may be mostly Packer or Eagles fans since that is who they are familiar with.

Well I think the thugs would find out that some NFL players are better armed then the cops. :coffee:

GB loses 34-29 & might've lost more than that as Love had to be helped off the field after a left leg injury with :06 left in the game. There was a lot of trouble with players slipping in the 1st half too, until they changed cleats at 1/2 time. They had a soccer game at that stadium 5 days earlier.

Exactly. The more they do that crap. The more I loose interest in it.

I like to watch Andy on Purple FTW on you tube.  Good Vikes stuff and he is a good guy.  He just said that right at the end of the game last night Jordan Love looked like he had an ankle or knee injury.  Hate to see that for anyone.

Yes, there will be great wailing and gnashing of teeth if Love looses time because of injury on a $#!T field in a foreign country.

Obviously it was all BS about wearing green there.

It was rough to watch Tua Tagovailoa leave with a concussion last night.  Tua lowered his head that the end of his run, took a clean hit, went down, and stayed down for a bit.  He eventually got up on his own, but you could tell that he knew what he was dealing with as he went straight back to the locker room.

Everyone gives and takes hard hits in the NFL, but it affects different players in different ways.  Wishing him the best.

He needs to retire while he still knows his name. This is the 3rd or 4th concussion in the NFL not to mention any he had in college.
