Interesting stat.  I know some people don't like Carrol and I think it is because he left the college coaching job after a year and went to the NFL.  I don't fault him a bit for improving his job situation.  I have always liked the way he seems to be positive and gets the job done.  I hope he improves the Raiders and I think he will.

Y'er not wrong about Pete Carroll.  I guess for a lot of folks, he is the sort of guy you love to hate - in a competitive sports fandom sort of way.  If he were our coach, we'd love 'em, but he ain't.  Maybe it has something to do with the fact that for a while he was a candidate to be the Vikings head coach, but he had his success in Seattle instead.

I don't know what to make of this.

Did the Vikes give up on him to early?  Was he a bad fit for the Vikes with too much baggage from his first seasons?  Is he a really "meh" player who latched on with the right team at the right time?  Or is he actually part of the Eagles success thus year?

Background...

The Eagles announced last Wednesday (1/22) that they have signed defensive back Lewis Cine off of the Buffalo Bills' practice squad.  Cine (6-2, 199 pounds) was a former first-round pick (No. 32 overall) of the Minnesota Vikings out of the University of Georgia in 2022. Cine made his NFL debut in Week 2 of his rookie season in Philadelphia. He played 10 games for the Vikings over his two years with the team before joining the Bills' practice squad this year.

As an Eagle, he assisted in 1 tackle against the Commanders last Sunday.  So it looks like the Eagles needed a "depth" guy and they signed Lewis.  It doesn't look like teams were lining up for his services.  Like all guys in the NFL...  I hope he makes the most of his opportunities when they come along.
