Ya, Rawlings owns Mikens. They (Rawlings) contracted with China a year ago on Rawlings gloves and the bats they make for MLB. You can blame MLB too, who is also in on the deal.  Mikens isn't  far from us, just 75 miles south of us. Small town folk.  Sucks big time.

That is not the way a good company should work.  All of these companies that use China should be ashamed of themselves.

Is it the company or the consumer thats to blame? Just about everybody I know under the age of 50 shops price first, quality second. These are the same people who shop almost exclusively online and then complain when their local store goes broke and there is nowhere for their kid to work after school. We brought it on ourselves and have nobody to blame but the person in the mirror. There is plenty of wealth in this country to afford U.S.A. made products even if they cost a few cents more.

Naa, just those ^%$#@ skwirrels!  :fudd: Got a pump gun and just give a few pumps to hit 'em in the butt. Not killing 'em. Hope that works, 'cuz I'm suddenly inundated with them, had EIGHT out back chasin', jumpin', humpin' yday. They're now gnawing on my deck rails, and chewed thru lids on 2 plastic wheeled storage containers. Acting like reds, not grays.  That's why the Cooper hawks are sitting in my spruce tree...they're having a heyday. There's a family of 4 of them. (They got one yday...came outta nowhere and nailed it, was like watching Wild Kingdom) Don't know if there's a lack of food or nuts for 'em or what, but they're chewing up everything. Never seen that before. Only downside to the hawks is they're eating up the songbirds too.
