Mayhaps Dotch can explain this.

Last nite watching the weather guy talking about all the rain coming he said it would help but not fix the drought conditions.

When it did start to finally rain, and I'm not sure how much we got since, just how bad can it be yet!!!

It's been fairly wet the past month or so???

It takes longer for the subsoil to catch back up Glenn I do believe.

And the rivers are still really low....the rocks showing down here that are normally underwater. Dry as a bone down here. South and SW parts of state still dry.  Lots yet to catch up on. And I ain't Dotch.   :bonk:

That and they talk a lot about the underground aquifers took a big hit this year.

I hate to say it but we'll need lots of snow this year, this rain does help going into freeze up tho.

Most of the state is still under some degree of a drought, except SW MN. Some links to weather sites that may provide answers to some of your drought ?'s:

If you dig down more than a few inches the soil is still dry even though I always get all the rain.

Yup, my pond is down about 2 feet...I'm sure my fish are stressed (if they haven't been eaten by otters)

If it freezes that way, anything left will be doomed (even though it's aireated)
