Being it was snowing like a bugger yesterday afternoon (Saturday) I decided to stay close to camp for the evening hunt. Also, we had just watched a spike feeding in the turnips at 2 in the afternoon so I figured deer would feed early.  The first of 6 deer arrived at 4:30. No bucks came to check out the bait. At least I was entertained. It was a fun sit even if no big bucks came sniffing around.

Nothing like a standing 30 yard chip shot.

Doe and two fawns about 100 yards away.

No shooting zone.

Lucky doe doesn't know she's on top of a gun barrel.

Hiding in the apple trees.
