A sad day in history today

On Nov. 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy, 46, in the third year of his first term, was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas.
I was a sophomore in high school and we were sent home early that day.  I remember that day all too well.

I do remember that day...  many things changed after that....  I was 9 at the time...  maybe 5th grade

I was 8. I knew it was a big deal but didn't really understand it I don't think. Hell, all these years later I don't understand people shooting each other over trivial matters.

I was in 4th grade in Miss Swenson's class.  The door to the room was open and all of the other teachers all met in the hallway and they were all crying loudly.  We had no idea what happened.  Then she came in and told us what happened.  Pretty traumatic.

Amazing that all Americans could come together and mourn that, compared to the embarrassment we have going on this century. We haven't been this divided since the civil war.

Well, the instigator is the left wing main steam media driving a wedge into this country trying to push their narrative. Racist everything. Constantly making up  lies. Just look at the Rittenhouse thing. They are still making up lies about it. CBS just did it again over the weekend. The left wing media nuts jobs are why this country is so divided. Divide and conquer is what they are doing. The want nothing but power and all of us little people under their thumb.

There is a reason they got called the fake news by the instigator. And 80% of the time he was just responding to the fake news  . The MS media should be the enemy of all of us.

I was home with (I think) measles, laying on the living room couch. Walter Cronkite interrupted my mother's soaps. She made the sign of the cross and started crying.
I was supposed to be a priest. That didn't work out too well.
When my dad got home, my mom and dad hugged and cried.

I was 5. All the sudden guys like Floyd Kalber and Sander Vanocur were interrupting my cartoons, Andy Griffith and Wagon Train reruns. Took a few years to fully grasp what had occurred or at least the version as it was known then.

He didn't teach me anything. I seen it long before before that. Just continues to get worse each year that goes by.

I was in 3rd grade. Some of the nuns were quite upset. We prayed.

i was a ripe old age of 6. my parents where big into politics ........so yea somehow i remember this.........

I was 6 years away from seeing the world yet.

Sophomore in high school. First learned of it in American History class.

I was 8 also, so that was 3rd grade for me & remember watching it on TV.
