Happy one year to those who put this site together. As i keep enjoying this site , i cant help but wonder how in the world i would have met the kind of people that call themselves members. This is by far the best site for true outdoors people i have ever been able to enjoy. The topics are great, the people are ready to defend  or support.
The best part is i feel like part of the big picture here. Being  very new to this state , it helps me get back into the great  outdoors. I have had several offers to fish , hunt , and shoot. What a site !!!   i hope this continues like it is .
Good luck in the future and thank you again for a great site.

I'll second that Holdemtwice....

Thanks Mayfly, Spinach and everyone else along the way who has helped to get MNO off the ground and running over the past year. And to every single member who has come to this site and felt the same way as we here at MNO do. This is without a doubt the most enjoyable site I have EVER visited bar none. It always feels like coming home whenever I'm at MNO.

  • AKA "Outdoors Junkie"
It was Mayfly and Spinach who had an idea (a great idea)...Then they put this idea into action...They started surrounding themselves with great people like Hedrocks (the webmaster), Bigfishguy, and Jigglesticks.  They added great staff members and great Pro-staff members.  Then this new little site started adding members and a few more great staff members.  These great members, staff members, Pro-staff members started sharing their knowledge and ideas....The site started gaining momentum and growing.  Our members started sharing MNO with family, friends, co-workers...and more new members started popping up...our great field staff members were added (sharing awesome reports from around the state)...MNO really started adding new members...more great staff and great field staff and great Pro-staff were added...and the MNO started to explode with new members...which caused this idea that Spinach and Mayfly had one day to grow into over a 1,000 member outdoors website that is the place all of us love to come and share information and questions and make new friends!

So, as you can see we all have had a part in making MN Outdoorsman into this outstanding outdoors website it is today.  So, take a moment and pat yourself on the back.  Thank you to every member for making MNO a success!!!

Just imagine where we will be this time next year!  The sky is the limit!!!

Thanks for sharing that timeline of how MNO came to be Outdoors_Junkie. For many who may be a little newer to MNO, it is nice to have an understanding of how the site has evolved from idea to reality and what has happened along the way.

The one thing that I would like to say to everyone, both staff and members alike, is that with growth comes some growing pains. The road is not always going to be sunny and perfect. But I do not view this as a bad thing, because with every new growing pain, comes an opportunity for us all to come together and move forward as one.

There will be some things that may change and evolve as the site gains more momentum, but mark my words...The MNO Staff will always make decisions concerning this site with the best interests of the MNO membership in mind. Without you, the members, this site is nothing. You are the reason that we are all here.

A great place for everthing period Al.

I have never sent so much time on any other website. I come in here and check the new forum posts, look through the classifieds, read new hunting articles, and the best of all------------>chat with all of you in the Wood Chat Cave. I have never laughed so hard, so much in my life as I have in some of the chats with fellow MNO staff and members. You guys are awesome.
