Correa will be out the door after 1 year also. Although Lewis looks pretty good at shortstop.

They signed Polanco to a extension the same year they signed Kepler to his. I want to say he is signed until 2026?

Yeah DB, he signed an extension last year or in 2020 & is signed through 2025. As far as Rogers goes, he already has 15 saves in 17 chances & with his age & being lefthanded, somebody will offer him a big $ long term deal IMO. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him sign a 5-6 year deal for $100-120 mil.

Bundy pitched good enough to get the W but didn't, so the streak is over. They can start a new 1 today, 6:40 game time with Smeltzer getting the ball. Ryan was placed on the CV-19 list & Polanco is now listed as day to day.

Sano-itist. Hit a homerun and start dipping the shoulder and hunting fat fastballs.

Verry disappointing loss last night.  Duffy giving up three in the 8th was not good.  Too many breaking pitches hanging in the center of the strike zone.

Twins had bases loaded with no outs in their 8th inning rally when KC pitcher Barlow came in.  He was throwing primarily breaking balls that crossed the plate low, below the strike zone, several of them blocked by the catcher.  You'd think one of the next three batters could have drawn a walk, but no - strikeouts and weak grounders.  The Twins' 9th inning rally was a similar story.

Twins are off to a good start against the sisters of the poor. Other than a handful of games the offense has basically sucked, hard to admit but the pitching has been carrying them. They don't start swinging pretty soon that record will be flip flopped and they will be fighting to stay above .500 again.

 I was a little surprised when I checked their stats, # 2 in hitting in AL with a .248 BA behind only the Bosox (.257). They're #4 (AL) in ERA(3.31) as well, along with # 4 in defense with a .987 FP. There's 3 teams tied with a .988 there.

Everything including the schedule has fallen in place for them this year. The fielding should maintain it's self, the hitting might hold but the pitching at some point will revert back to what it is. They are better than last year (except at catcher) and I look for a bit more power as the year progresses.

On a side note, does anybody think the teams have learned to use the covid list as a way to move players around? If you put a player on the IL you lose them for I think 10 days? The covid list you can get them back in 2 or 3 days I think.

So who will stay home when they go to Toronto end of the week? Can't cross the border if not Covid Vaccinated.

 It doesn't look like Celestino or Ryan will make that trip as they're on the CV-19 list now.

Crappy lineup again.....No runs for 18 straight innings. Maybe Jim Kaat needs to go home. Jinx?????

Kaat hit it on the head in one of the games...

Kaat said back in his day, he (and presumably most other guys) were plow horses, built for the long haul.

Today's athletes are thoroughbreds and every at bat or play in the field is an all out sprint or high impact collision, which leads to more injuries.

Gagged another one today 3-2. You just aren't going to win enough games if you can't put 4-5 runs a game on the board with this pitching staff.

For those not paying attention that was 4 of 5 they lost to Detroit. Now on to Toronto.

 There's 7 pitchers, 4 starters on the IL right now too & that sure doesn't help any.  :pouty: https://www.espn.com/mlb/team/injuries/_/name/min/minnesota-twins

 Even the guy that was leading the AL in BA left Motown with a doughnut, going 0-9 in his last 2 games.
