Sweet!!! If I got time. Maybe I won't watch, better chance of them winning. :happy1: :rotflmao:
If it was ANYONE else, I'd say to go ahead and enjoy the game.  But since you are the K.O.D. (Kiss of Death ) for MN sports teams, we'd appreciate it if you found something else better to do.  ;)

 So, who is the DH? I read where they didn't think Lewis looked healthy enough to play 3B on Sunday, so if he made the roster, it would probably be as the DH. Julien at 2B & Polanco at 3rd is what they were guessing.

Here is what they listed...

Alex Kirilloff  1B
Edouard Julien  2B, Jorge Polanco  2B (platoon )
Carlos Correa  SS
Kyle Farmer  3B
Royce Lewis  DH

But obviously Baldelli has shown a willingness to mix and match all season. If they opt to use Lewis as a pinch hitter because he is still nicked up, Baldelli has still some decent options for DH.

Here it is...

1. 2B Edouard Julien, L
2. 3B Jorge Polanco, S
3. DH Royce Lewis, R
4. RF Max Kepler, L
5. 1B Alex Kirilloff, L
6. SS Carlos Correa, R
7. C Ryan Jeffers, R
8. LF Matt Wallner, L
9. CF Michael A. Taylor, R

Where Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman is tougher on righties than lefties.

Bremer & Morneau have been griping about the start times that the Twins always get for the playoffs :bs: since before they clinched. If it's a sunny day the shadows between home plate & the mound will likely make scoring many runs late pretty difficult. Best hope for some cloudy days or that they score a bunch early. :cheerleader:
Looks like they got the clouds AND are scoring runs early!

We need a storm to run through after the 7th so we don’t loose it let in the game. Lol

I don't know, but that certainly does explain Guerrero's lead off double against Jax.  :bonk:

 It didn't look like they were even playing the same game in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Rays had 4 errors & there were a lot of empty seats. :doah: Not even 20K for the Rays, over 38K for the Twins. :happy1: :cheerleader:

I love it that Duran's 1st 5 pitches were curveballs which made those hitters looking for the 100+ mph heat look pretty foolish. I about put it on mute though when I heard A-Rod in the booth!! :puke:  :angry2: :banghead: :banghead:

No lie.  If I have to listen to the national B-team (or C-Team) announcers tell me one more time how Paul Molitor and Dave Winfield grew up a couple of blocks away from each other and Dave Winfield was drafted in three sports, bla, bla, bla...   :puke:

Yes, I was absolutely giddy watching Jhoan "Doo-Ron" (as they seemed to be pronouncing his name) pitch curve after curve.  I wish he could locate the fast ball three inches lower more consistently to get hitters to chase the high heat more often.
 :party1: :happybounce:

The play of the game (besides Lewis' homers) was Correa bare-handing Polanco's whiffed ball and gunning the runner down at the plate.

I missed this pre-game nugget...  :happy1:

Aaron Gleeman on Twitter...

Lopez showed up to the ballpark dressed as Johan Santana and then pitched like him too for the first playoff win since Johan Santana.

Looks like pretty much the same lineup as yesterday with Baldelli swapping Walner and Jeffers in the 7th and 8th slots of the batting order.

Sonny Gray facing ex-Twin José Berríos on the mound.

"Here’s how many pitches each of the Twins’ relievers threw in Game 1: Louie Varland: 2; Caleb Thielbar: 10; Griffin Jax : 8; Jhoan Duran: 14. Given how meticulously Minnesota planned its pitchers’ rest schedules to close the regular season, everyone will be available again."

Taylor had a couple nice plays too that saved at least 2 runs, maybe 3. Kepler had that 1 at the fence as well.

Thanks for turning off the game.  ;)

That pick-off move was awesome.  I think it was the turning point in the game.  I love watching Correa play short.

The announcers were worse yesterday than the day before.  Its like they used up all their material the first broadcast.

Did you guys know the Twins lost 18 straight playoff games, hadn't won a post season game since 2004, and hadn't won a playoff series since 2002?

No baseball games in either league today or tomorrow. All 4 were sweeps.
