Big comeback win tonight 5-2. Doesn't seem to be much quit in these guys. The more stars (Correa, Buxton, Ryan) that go down the better they play.

Great sacrifice bunt by Martin yday, then he beats it out. Think it was the quickest results on a challenge that I've seen all season too. :happy1: Guess they've started reviewing all the close plays immediately, even before they can be challenged now. Some nice work by the Henriquez to go 2 innings & then Sands looked really good closing it out too. Lopez goes today @ 1:30.

New York is reviewing close plays automatically when it gets to the 9th inning. Even before the team decides to challenge them. So it is much faster. And that wasn't really close. Easy to tell he was safe. But why did the ump call him out in the first place?

 It must not be just the 9th, Ken, as they got 3 in the 8th to go up 4-2 & Farmer drove in the last run in the 9th.

Not talking about runs Gunner. Talking about challenged call reviews.

Shakey pitching today. Both Lopez and especially Alcala. giving up 5 runs in 1 inning. Why was he left in there??

Error allows the winning run in the 10th.

Headed to SD for 3, so it's a late game tonight. Zebby gets the ball @ 8:40. :cheerleader:

I believe it took like 19 pitches and boom they were behind. Maybe he didn't even get past his 3 hitters he was required to face.

Well....they got 5 runs and had 2 outs. That's 7. He gave up 3 doubles and 2 home runs. Richards then came in and got the final out and then pitched the 8th.

Run in the 10th scored on a Miranda throwing error. :pouty: :pouty:

I saw a local bball blogger talk about how if Diamond/Bally Sports doesn't emerge from bankruptcy that there are multiple LOCAL tv stations interested in inquiring about the rights.  The Twins haven't had an over-the-air free broadcast package since 1982.

Still, I can't envision any TV deal that would entice the fiscally conservative Twins "strike when the iron is hot" or "go all in" when they seem to be poised for a playoff run.

The numbers I typically see are that they have the 19th biggest payroll in the 17th biggest market.  We'll have to watch how those number change if the TV revenue goes down again.

Fans are funny.
They complained when the Twins paid Mauer.

They were happy when they paid Donaldson.

They thought it great value when they signed Buxton.

They thought the Correa deal was solid.

But, they let Grey walk even though he would have never signed back here. So the Twins are cheap. Oh, BTW he isn't much better than a .500 pitcher for his career. Actually he is another Barrios.

Padres win 5-3.

Mathews issues 2 walks and hits a guy, commits an error.

 That's only 6:40 out there & with their traffic the fans are often still entering the stadium during the 1st couple innings. Getaway day today though, so it's an early game today. SWR goes today @ 5:30.

A shaky start for SWR but he figured it out & we bat around in the 4th for win #71. They end the road trip 4-3. Cleveland loses so we pick up a game. :cheerleader: Off day today, St Louis comes to town tomorrow.

Buxton could come off the IL today & Brooks Lee could be back Monday. Festa gets the ball tonight @ 7. No BSNOR coverage, just Apple TV+.

I believe I read where Correa, Lewis and Buxton have only been on the field together for 20 games so far. It's remarkable they are still in the hunt for a play-off spot.

St. Louis is only marginally good this year Twins better handle them at home.

As far as the TV goes this will be the future. You will need a bunch of different pay platforms if you want to watch every game. I'm all out on that, me and the radio will continue to get along just fine.

Reminds me of last years story line...  the 'stars' played very few games together in the regular season, but stayed in hunt, and got healthy at playoff time.

I thought I read something recently that some local media outfit was trying to strike a deal with the 4 major sports teams here for broadcasting rights to put on regular TV?

No doubt... leagues and teams continue to figure out how to maximize their revenue streams:  luxury suites, stadium naming rights, advertising on every square inch of everything (including uniforms) - and now multiple TV deals.  They'll tell us they are doing it to make their game available to more people, but that is  :bs:.  They just want as much money as they can get.

Seems Sonny isn't all he was cracked up to be.

Larnach has homered twice off him and driven in 4. 5-0 in the 5th.

Vasquez's mound visit with 2 on & 1 out in the 5th was spot on as Lopez went right back to throwing darts & making their hitters look foolish. Wallner almost hit 1 out of the park in right center too. Larnach, Wallner, & Martin had 8 of their 9 hits. :happy1: Cleveland won too, but KC lost. Mathews gets the ball today @ 1.
