I guess I will have to find a new bullhead lake.  Dang, and I liked that park too for collecting aluminum cans.

Dakota County Parks - forever wild is at Thompson County Park.

🚩 THOMPSON LAKE UPDATE 🚩
Dakota County has temporarily closed lake access at Thompson County Park and is recommending the public have no direct contact with Thompson Lake water following a West St. Paul wastewater sewage discharge.
The lake closure followed the City of West St. Paul’s announcement Monday, May 16 that about 50,000 gallons of sewage entered Thompson Lake over 24 hours due to a sewage line failure near the south end of the lake. The sewage leak has been stopped.
The public should not have direct contact — including no fishing — with Thompson Lake water until further notice.
Cleanup efforts are underway. The Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of the Pollution Control are assisting West St. Paul with the incident.
For updates as available, visit www.dakotacounty.us/parks or call 952-891-7000.

Thank goodness they admitted it and posted an alert.  Dilution is the solution to those kinds of things.  High water may have caused it and it will speed up the purge and dilute the bad water.

There are, and I have used others at times.  I just liked this one.

Ha,at least you were warned ,years ago whilst in cozmel mx,we fiested on lobster, shrimp fresh caught daily,we all got dysentery bad, found out later in the trip the islands waste gets pumped out in the ocean, shell fish are scavengers, feed off the bottom, further they cautioned our group not to eat fresh green salads, human waste was used for fertilizer.last trip to mexico in my life.,So leave those bullheads be or don't eat them, heck with raw sewage iffin you get stung taking one off the hook,no telling what kind of infection you'll get, might need to lop off a finger.

What do "clean up efforts" consist of for something like this?
I wonder. Does Darth Vader have a sister named Ella? Bet she has her ups and downs.

Like I said above.  Just let the water flow and flush it downstream as dilution takes place.
