So, I have a question.......

I've got a buddy that buys venison brats from down south that have pepper jack and pineapple in them. I've never had any, but he says that they are amazing.

He's looking for a recipe......

So the question is...... If you put pineapple in a link, would it have to be dehydrated first?

There's a place in GR , S & S meats, that makes a lot of flavors of brats & jerky but they're not from venison. Had some locals tell me that the jalapeno/pineapple flavor was their favorite. They make many flavors of jerky too, a bit spendy but not terrible. They smoke all their own stuff on site, so it always smells great when you stop. Everything we've gotten there has been good.

Yes it has to be dehydrated,  and dont let the mix sit over night, stuff them, the fan dry overnight in a cool garage type area. Fruit can be a huge learning curve. Ive done pineapple pe]erjack sticks and they wer outstanding! Good luck. Google nuts .com or dehydrated pine apple. Yu want the smallist chunks possible, not the triangle chunks, for ease of stuffing and blow outs.
