If you're planning on fishing Lake Pepin, don't park on the ice....

January hasn't been much of a month for building ice In this part of the state. Just came in from putting a bale in the lot by the main barn. There are still places underneath where it hasn't froze. Under Lake Pepin where there's any kind of current? Yipes!

Just got back from the Falls and the river is wide open shore to shore from about Indus to the Falls.  Was froze a couple of weeks ago.  It will open up on our end earlier than usual I am thinking.  The dam must be open more I'm thinking.

Hmmm, I guess it doesn't pay to park close. Seen it too many times.

That is one great story Smoky.  I have read how Bull Sharks go up into fresh water creeks and have their young who will sometimes stay in those shallow fresh water creeks for a few years.  These are creeks where people had no idea sharks were even there.

From what I have heard, 2 out of the 7 vehicles had to be towed out. The other 5 could be driven off the lake.......
