winds have been picking up, and the lake ice is really changing today...

I was ice fishing for perch on leech lake on March 29. Drove home and fried some up for the Warden's birthday. My mom came over too. That turned out to be the day the tornadoes hit St Peter.

Well, my snowblower has been parked out here all winter, never used.
It’s going back to the shed tomorrow. I hope its not a jinx.

That's a beauty.  You can just change oil for the heck of it every 3 years.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Coop, I feel your pain. I'm probably going to fire mine up just to run all the gas out of the just about full tank. I ran mine all of 20 minutes.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Funny you mention that,  I go by the book every fall it gets changed. The bro not so much, he's owned his snow chucker for ten yrs and has yet to change oil.. :doofus:

I walk past my 7' blower every morning and nite doing chores. Doesn't bother me in the least that it's not hooked onto the tractor. There's enough to do around here without that as I found last winter when the wife was laid up. I'll have to hook it up, grease the pto shaft & a couple other zerks, check the gearbox oil level, then oil the auger drive chains. Hopefully I can clean up enough crap so it can sleep inside until next winter. Betting we won't be hearing about record warm temps then.  :coffee:

29 and clear skies here.  A north breeze.  Looks like a nicer day than what it is.  I will wait till tomorrow to play outside.   :happy1:

Kinda that way here. It's struggled to get to 40 but with the NW wind blowing 15 mph or more, it has a bite to it. Of course, a yearling ewe decided to lamb on the west side of the windbreak a little bit ago. Those yearlings have the brains of a gnat & that's an insult to the gnat. Luckily the lamb was big, active & smart or it could've easily been chilled.

I win! 74 at the ranch this afternoon. Watered my radishes to celebrate. Looks like the January planting is starting to make its move...:coffee:

They said 62 but I don't know if it got that warm.  Was pretty darn nice though.  Lots of water on the ice.

So nice we had to get out so, we hit HH at Riley's. We had 59 on the thermometer out in the garage then, ~ 2:45.

Ground was a little white & it was spittin a bit when we left for the paper. It got a little more serious & CR 35 was pretty well covered over by Big & Little Jessie. It looks like the group over at the resort might've pulled out yday too.
